Responsibilities
- Design and develop tests for video processing frameworks and low-level video codec software.
- Verify functionality and measure quality for image and video encoding, decoding, editing, and post-processing.
- Develop validation software, test tools, test cases, and test harnesses using C/C++, Objective-C, Swift, Python, and shell scripting.
- Automate testing and quality evaluation pipelines, triage failures, and perform root-cause analysis.
- Drive early test strategy and planning in partnership with R&D engineering and cross-functional teams.
- Build LLM-based tools and agentic workflows to extend testing pipeline automation at scale.
- Help ensure image and video frameworks, firmware, and drivers deliver high-quality video experiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
- At least 6 years of programming experience in C/C++, Objective-C or Swift, and Python.
- At least 6 years of development experience on macOS or Unix/Linux platforms.
- Hands-on experience using LLMs in software development and building workflows with AI/LLM-based tools.
- Experience developing test cases and applying software testing methodologies.
- Understanding of software engineering concepts and hands-on CI/CD experience.
- Preferred experience building LLM-powered tooling with prompt engineering, agent design, tool/API integration, and MCP-based integrations.
- Preferred experience with XCTest or PyTest and white-box, grey-box, API, mutation, or static testing.
- Preferred experience with code coverage analysis, image or video quality evaluation, model benchmarking, and quality metrics.
- Preferred understanding of AVC, HEVC, VP9, or AV1 codecs and video processing pipelines.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, communication, negotiation, collaboration, and independent project-delivery skills.
