Base Salary
$102k - $219k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and operate highly available, scalable, secure, and observable cloud services.
- Drive technical design and implementation for complex engineering problems and evaluate architectural trade-offs.
- Deliver features and projects end-to-end from requirements and design through deployment and production readiness.
- Build expertise in cloud infrastructure, global deployment technologies, and sovereign cloud engineering.
- Collaborate with partner teams to define technical solutions, resolve dependencies, and deliver cross-service capabilities.
- Improve reliability and operational excellence through automation, monitoring, diagnostics, and root-cause analysis.
- Mentor engineers and contribute through design reviews, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in C#, Java, or C++, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: 3+ years of software engineering experience designing, building, and delivering production services.
- Preferred: experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform and distributed systems.
- Preferred: experience driving complex or ambiguous engineering projects from design through delivery.
- Preferred: deep experience with software design, implementation, testing, and debugging.
- Preferred: ability to build reliable, maintainable, and well-tested software.
- Preferred: advanced collaboration and communication skills across engineering teams and disciplines.
- Must satisfy applicable export-control and citizenship-based access restrictions and provide required citizenship or protected-status documentation.
- Must pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter.
