Base Salary
$187k - $259k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and scale full-stack features across backend services, APIs, and mobile and web applications for Jade.
- Own complex projects end-to-end, including technical design, implementation, testing, and rollout.
- Partner with product, design, data science, and engineering teams to define experiments and improve member experiences.
- Contribute to testing, AI evaluations, and experimentation to measure quality and identify regressions.
- Improve system reliability, performance, and scalability while supporting production applications.
- Participate in code reviews, mentoring, technical design discussions, and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software development experience in production environments at scale.
- Proficiency in a backend programming language such as Python or Ruby, with experience writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Experience with modern front-end technologies such as React Native, React, or TypeScript, particularly for mobile development.
- Experience building backend services and APIs, working with databases, and designing distributed systems.
- Experience deploying and supporting production applications, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience owning complex projects, making technical decisions, and delivering features across teams.
- Ability to identify technical challenges, propose solutions, and improve reliability, performance, and engineering practices.
- Product mindset with interest in using data and experimentation to improve member experiences.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to influence technical decisions across teams.
- Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to code reviews and technical design discussions.
- Preferred: experience with Python’s backend ecosystem, LLMs, AI evaluations, or AI development tools and frameworks such as LangChain, LangSmith, and Amazon Bedrock.
