Responsibilities
- Own firmware for TFLN modulator-based optical transceiver reference designs.
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for IMDD and coherent optical transceivers.
- Implement and optimize CMIS-compliant firmware stacks and I2C/I3C drivers and communication stacks.
- Interface with DSPs for signal processing, control, tuning, and monitoring.
- Support optical modules exceeding 1.6Tbps and contribute to system architecture and next-generation platforms.
- Bring up hardware, debug laboratory issues, and collaborate with hardware, optical, and systems teams.
- Develop CLI and GUI diagnostic and configuration tools.
- Ensure firmware reliability, performance, and standards compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
- Strong experience in embedded firmware development using C/C++ and other languages.
- Hands-on experience with CMIS and I2C/I3C protocols.
- Experience with QSFP, OSFP, or similar form-factor MSA specifications.
- Experience working with DSP-based systems and high-speed communication systems exceeding 400Gbps.
- Strong debugging skills in laboratory environments.
- Preferred: experience with TFLN, silicon photonics, advanced modulator technologies, coherent detection, PAM4, reference designs, GUI tools, Python, MDIO, SPI, manufacturing test, or automation.
