Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, developers, testers, and Scrum teams to understand, define, and test requirements in on-premise and cloud environments.
- Design and implement custom automated integration-testing frameworks spanning multiple interconnected applications.
- Develop and execute API test suites for backend services and inter-application communication.
- Define testable acceptance criteria and analyze system behavior with cross-functional teams.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
- Perform root-cause analysis of test failures and support resolution with development teams.
- Improve test coverage, reliability, and execution performance.
- Contribute to QA best practices, standards, and processes.
Requirements
- 7–10 years of experience and deep understanding of RESTful API design principles, HTTP methods, status codes, headers, OAuth2, JWT, and API keys.
- Deep expertise in API testing using tools such as Postman, Playwright, or similar, including request/response validation and service contract testing.
- Strong understanding of integration-testing principles, system boundaries, dependencies, and cross-application data flows.
- Proficiency in at least one automation-capable programming language, ideally C#, to build custom frameworks.
- Familiarity with CI/CD integration using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
- Experience with version control using Git.
- Exposure to Docker for test-environment setup.
- Strong problem-solving, research, and continuous-learning skills.
