Base Salary
$79k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own software design and development for major Oracle Cloud Infrastructure components.
- Design, build, operate, and debug highly reliable distributed infrastructure and services.
- Automate the server lifecycle from platform-shape creation and hardware bring-up through customer-ready provisioning and firmware management.
- Build scalable microservices and tooling to provision, configure, secure, and validate Compute and GPU infrastructure.
- Design broad distributed-system interactions and work across Linux, Docker, Java web services, Terraform, and low-level systems.
- Partner with Compute, Networking, Security, Data Center Engineering, and Hardware Development teams to launch and maintain server platforms with minimal operational overhead.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience delivering and operating large-scale, highly available distributed systems, with Linux development and systems debugging experience.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming using C++ or Java and scripting languages such as Python.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed-systems fundamentals.
- Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Working familiarity with TCP/IP, HTTP, and standard network architectures.
- Strong understanding of databases, storage, and distributed persistence technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance-tuning skills.
- Experience building multi-tenant, virtualized infrastructure is a strong plus.
