Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable service-based architectures across frontend and backend systems.
- Implement integrations across internal services and third-party platforms using APIs, event streams, webhooks, and data pipelines.
- Drive development of services built with Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, and Python.
- Design and maintain API contracts, data models, and reusable integration patterns.
- Build secure, high-performance, and highly available systems.
- Contribute to AI-enabled features and workflows involving ML models, LLM APIs, and intelligent automation pipelines.
- Define system designs, integration strategies, technical solutions, scope, complexity, and dependencies.
- Lead code reviews, approve merges, and mentor engineers across teams.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive resolution across distributed systems.
- Own the end-to-end feature lifecycle from design through deployment and monitoring.
- Produce technical documentation including architecture diagrams, data flows, API specifications, and integration patterns.
- Establish and enforce practices for code quality, testing, and deployment.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience building scalable, production-grade software systems across frontend and backend development.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Proven experience with Node.js and GraphQL.
- Deep experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and distributed services.
- Proficiency with Python, Docker, Git, SQL, and cloud-native architectures.
- Hands-on experience with GCP or AWS services, including services such as S3, CloudFront, EC2, RDS, Lambda, and Batch.
- Experience designing system integrations involving microservices, third-party APIs, event-driven architectures, and messaging systems such as Kafka or SQS.
- Ability to lead and deliver large, complex technical initiatives.
- Strong understanding of software design patterns, system architecture, and data flow design.
- Experience working in Agile or Kanban environments and understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Preferred experience with tax, fintech, compliance, data platforms, ML workflows, LLM APIs, real-time data processing, multi-tenant SaaS platforms, ERP systems, financial systems, or external data providers.
- Strong communication, adaptability, and proactive problem-solving skills.
