Responsibilities
- Define and evolve quality engineering vision and strategy for high-scale distributed systems.
- Drive shift-left testing, quality-by-design, testability, reliability, and architecture improvements.
- Design and build scalable, reusable automation frameworks, test tools, and test infrastructure.
- Establish functional, integration, end-to-end, performance, resilience, data-validation, and production-validation practices.
- Enhance CI/CD pipelines and standardize quality metrics, reporting, and release quality gates.
- Partner with Engineering, Product, Platform, and DevOps teams to improve production quality, reduce incidents, and increase system resilience.
- Mentor and coach engineers, provide design and code review guidance, participate in hiring, and lead cross-team quality initiatives.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Software Quality Engineering or SDET roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Strong software engineering skills with proficiency in Golang, Java, or C#.
- Experience building scalable, reusable, enterprise-grade test frameworks, tools, and infrastructure for large-scale distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD, GitLab preferred, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with microservices architectures, APIs, data-intensive systems, and validating large datasets and pipelines.
- Deep expertise in test strategy, methodologies, and automation at scale.
- Ability to influence cross-team quality, lead initiatives, guide engineers, and drive engineering excellence without direct authority.
- Strong analytical, structured problem-solving, systems-thinking, ownership, and communication skills.
