Base Salary

$55k - $103k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop software frameworks for Qualcomm’s low-power AI accelerator.
  • Work across the machine learning software stack to support edge AI applications in vision, speech, and sensing.
  • Collaborate with the low-power AI software engineering team and learn to address customer issues and feedback.
  • Participate in mentorship, professional development workshops, social events, and cross-functional speaker sessions.

Requirements

  • Be studying toward a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Have excellent programming skills in Python and C/C++.
  • Have basic machine learning knowledge and at least one year of academic programming experience.
  • Have strong mathematics and statistics coursework, problem-solving ability, communication skills, and a self-motivated, detail-oriented approach.
  • Be available for the 16-month internship from May or June 2027 through August or September 2028 and expect to graduate in November 2028 or later.
  • Preferred qualifications include hands-on ML project experience, knowledge of RNN, CNN, and Transformer architectures, and embedded device programming experience.
