Base Salary
$160k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Set the technical direction and long-term vision for Omni’s data visualization capabilities.
- Partner with the Product Manager and engineering team to turn visualization strategy into shipped features.
- Design and build frontend visualization components and the underlying data pipelines that support them.
- Apply industry best practices to improve visualization quality and performance.
- Mentor and technically guide engineers working on the visualization stream.
- Ship iteratively and refine features using customer feedback.
- Use AI coding tools such as Claude Code to increase development velocity.
Requirements
- Have 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years operating at a senior level.
- Demonstrate deep experience in data visualization, ideally through industry recognition or a strong portfolio of shipped work.
- Be proficient in TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Have experience with data or business intelligence tools or applications such as SQL, Looker, Tableau, Mode, Amplitude, or Google Analytics.
- Be able to set technical vision and influence a team without formal authority.
- Be proficient with AI coding tools and workflows such as Claude Code or Cursor.
- Startup experience, data product experience, familiarity with Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift, and data visualization research or academic experience are preferred.
