Responsibilities
- Code, test, analyze, troubleshoot, and support application software and business applications.
- Build web services using Java, Spring Boot, REST, SOAP, and microservices architecture.
- Develop responsive web interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks.
- Conduct usability testing and collaborate with business and IT stakeholders on interface requirements.
- Create wireframes, storyboards, and UI flow charts to plan and communicate interface designs.
- Apply UI/UX, HCI, and SEO practices to improve web application usability and discoverability.
- Collaborate with Development and QA teams to improve application quality and usability.
- Follow development processes, coding standards, and best practices.
- Attend overnight releases when needed and automate processes to produce maintainable, supportable, and testable code.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building web services with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA, REST, SOAP, and microservices architecture.
- 8+ years of hands-on front-end web development experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- 8+ years of experience with advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as AngularJS, ReactJS, VueJS, and Bootstrap.
- Strong experience with Git, GitHub, Jenkins, and Sonatype Nexus.
- Experience with complex SQL and databases such as DB2, Oracle, or SQL Server is preferred.
- Experience with Kafka, data streaming, data messaging, and event-driven systems.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum, continuous integration and delivery, TDD, BDD, DevOps, and automation practices.
- Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
