Responsibilities
- Build tools and shared engineering services that support internal business units.
- Own infrastructure projects end to end while collaborating with stakeholders and customer-facing teams.
- Improve observability through metrics, alerting, logging, and telemetry integrations.
- Identify and build continuous deployment improvements and infrastructure-as-code changes in cloud environments.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on cross-functional infrastructure improvements.
- Automate upgrades for managed services and virtual machines.
- Design, build, test, and document core software components.
- Improve the efficiency, scalability, and stability of system resources.
- Build observability into running services, participate in incident response, and handle customer support escalations.
Requirements
- Experience with secrets management, infrastructure as code, observability, and distributed systems.
- Experience operating managed services in a cloud environment, preferably AWS.
- Production experience operating Kubernetes is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with networks, including IP addressing and routing.
- Experience with Go is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, collaborate with highly technical teams, and give and process constructive feedback.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility to work in a dynamic startup environment.
