Responsibilities
- Design and build end-to-end user-facing features across React frontends, Node.js services, BFF layers, data stores, and third-party APIs.
- Own technical direction, break down ambiguous problems, and make software architecture decisions.
- Partner with Product Managers and Designers to shape requirements and scope.
- Support reliable databases and APIs for real-time automated decision-making.
- Deploy software using Kubernetes, Lambda, and container-based tooling.
- Investigate production issues and implement fixes to minimize user impact.
- Implement automated unit, integration, and end-to-end test suites.
- Apply security practices to protect user data.
- Mentor mid-level engineers, review code, pair with teammates, and support engineers across the stack.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on commercial experience building web applications.
- Deep experience with React, Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript across both frontend and backend development.
- Experience designing and shipping production services, including API design, microservices, and system design patterns.
- Practical knowledge of at least one relational database such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
- Experience implementing unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Ability to lead software design and architecture discussions and explain trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong ownership, accountability, independent problem-solving, communication, and security practices.
- Good command of written and spoken English and availability for occasional evening meetings across Poland-US time zones.
- Preferred qualifications include data analysis and BigQuery experience, real AI use case production experience, and engineering mentoring or team leadership experience.
