Responsibilities
- Define and govern enterprise architecture standards, principles, best practices, reference architectures, frameworks, and governance processes.
- Lead architecture reviews and provide technical leadership across multiple engineering teams and business units.
- Develop technology roadmaps supporting business objectives, modernization, cloud transformation, and architecture governance.
- Lead and support complex application, cloud, and system platform initiatives while ensuring performance, availability, service-level compliance, and alignment with architecture standards.
- Design and implement security solutions, secure coding practices, security patterns, Enterprise Control Frameworks, and mitigation strategies for applications, cloud environments, and infrastructure.
- Design and govern enterprise AI solutions, including responsible AI practices, and identify opportunities to use AI for business process improvement and engineering productivity.
- Facilitate domain discovery and event storming workshops and define bounded contexts, aggregates, domain services, and domain events.
- Collaborate with platform engineers, solution architects, cloud service engineers, business stakeholders, security engineers, and technology leaders on integrations and solution delivery.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and vendors, support vendor selection and integration, and drive technology adoption strategies.
- Provide architecture specifications and expert guidance to governance boards and stakeholders on security, infrastructure, policies, and technical standards.
- Mentor architects, security engineers, cloud engineers, and other technical staff while fostering engineering excellence.
- Maintain strong business relationships, communicate recommendations clearly, and ensure technical designs align with stakeholder needs.
- Travel up to 5% and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or direct and applicable work experience.
- At least 9 years of experience, including applicable security application, cloud architecture, systems integration, application development, and systems analysis experience.
- At least 4 years of cloud architecture experience.
- Experience with security controls and tools, workload security, secure coding, encryption, and security architecture.
- Expert knowledge of network protocols and enterprise network architecture, with the ability to architect complete multi-technology solutions.
- Experience migrating systems to public cloud providers including Amazon, Google, or Microsoft.
- Experience managing cloud access security brokers, including single sign-on, authorization, and encryption.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL database systems.
- Experience establishing architecture governance, engineering standards, modernization initiatives, and cloud transformation strategies.
- Experience leading across multiple engineering teams and business units and influencing executive stakeholders.
- Ability to synthesize complex information, develop logical recommendations, manage stakeholder issues, communicate clearly, and drive consensus and action.
- Ability to coach and mentor architects and engineers and maintain effectiveness through organizational and process changes.
- Preferred deep Azure and AI platform expertise, enterprise architecture leadership, strong business knowledge, and hands-on technical depth.
