Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain software.
- Own technical design for projects and communicate technical tradeoffs.
- Review, test, and approve code for quality and consistency.
- Partner with engineers on technical approaches and development plans.
- Support and mentor junior and mid-level engineers without formal authority.
- Maintain consistency in technical direction across the team.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across systems.
- Improve team practices, tools, and processes.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering experience delivering reliable, scalable solutions.
- Experience owning technical decisions and working through tradeoffs.
- Ability to guide and support other engineers without formal authority.
- Clear communication skills for explaining complex concepts.
- High school diploma or GED and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 3 years of related work experience.
- A track record of contributing to production systems and team success.
- Experience in at least one of backend systems such as Python, Golang, or APIs; mobile development such as Flutter/Dart, iOS/Swift, or Android; or web development such as React, Node.js, or TypeScript.
