Staff Engineer - Embedded Software, Imaging

Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of embedded imaging subsystem software.
- Evaluate, port, optimize, or develop firmware and device drivers for image processing.
- Design and implement firmware interfaces for image acquisition and processing.
- Integrate camera sensors using MIPI CSI-2 interfaces and support camera bring-up.
- Enable image sensor integration through calibration and characterization tools.
- Lead imaging subsystem software activities during pre-silicon and post-silicon phases.
- Optimize imaging and video processing pipelines for performance and efficiency.
- Support design verification and assist customers during product deployment.
- Provide technical expertise on imaging subsystem software architecture.
Requirements
- M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 6+ years of experience, or B.S. with 8+ years.
- At least 3 years of experience in embedded imaging or multimedia software development.
- Strong experience with low-level firmware and device drivers for ARM-based systems.
- Understanding of camera imaging pipelines and control interfaces.
- Experience with embedded video pipelines and hardware-accelerated codecs.
- Familiarity with real-time operating systems like FreeRTOS or Zephyr.
- Expert proficiency in C and strong embedded software architecture skills.
- Hands-on experience debugging embedded systems with laboratory equipment.
- Experience with embedded development environments and modern software practices.
