Responsibilities
- Gather requirements, design, and develop improvements to Windows-on-Snapdragon CI build systems, software release processes, and developer operations tools.
- Build, integrate, and verify software on MSM chipsets running Windows, Linux, or Android.
- Analyze system-level integration issues, define integration plans, and integrate new features.
- Assemble and verify software builds, perform smoke tests, develop basic test scenarios, and troubleshoot and resolve problems.
- Develop CI and full-stack solutions using Python, C#, ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL Server, and database queries.
- Manage Windows driver signing, HLK validation, Windows Update processes, manifests, SKUs, BIOS, and SMBIOS-related release activities.
- Create release portals, update release notes, support end-to-end external releases, and handle customer queries in coordination with developers.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, CMD, and BAT, and collaborate with internal and external development and test teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 3+ years of software engineering or related experience; alternatively, a master’s degree plus 2+ years or a PhD plus 1+ year.
- 2+ years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Experience with Microsoft Devcenter, production-signed releases, HLK, ATT signing, HLK Studio, Windows Update, manifests, SKUs, BIOS, and SMBIOS.
- Experience with WIX Toolset, MSI generation and internals, MSBuild, Windows build systems, VCXProj, INX, HID/CID, and debugging.
- Development experience with CI systems, Python, C#, ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL Server, Visual Studio, and database queries.
- Knowledge of operating system concepts, bootloaders, paging, deadlocks, memory layouts, storage and partition layouts, BIOS, UEFI, ACPI, drivers, applications, and embedded systems.
- Practical experience with Git or Perforce and Windows or Linux kernel and development environments.
- Preferred qualifications include 2–5 years of software engineering experience, C# and Python, MS SQL development, Windows internals, WinDbg or JTAG debugging, Jenkins, Artifactory, Visual Studio, ARM assembly, and embedded OS concepts.
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, debugging, written, interpersonal, and learning skills.
