Base Salary
$179k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across engineering teams.
- Build and maintain cloud-based data, distributed computing, and full-stack systems.
- Work with machine learning, distributed microservices, and full-stack engineering teams.
- Use Java, Scala, Python, relational and NoSQL databases, and cloud data warehouses.
- Develop real-time data and streaming applications and tune code for performance.
- Collaborate with product managers to deliver customer-facing cloud solutions.
- Perform unit testing and code reviews.
- Mentor engineering community members and participate in internal and external technology communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 4 years of application development experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with big data technologies.
- At least 1 year of cloud computing experience.
- Preferred: 7+ years of application development experience using Python, SQL, Scala, or Java.
- Preferred: 4+ years of experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Preferred: 4+ years with distributed data or computing tools such as MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL.
- Preferred: 4+ years working on real-time data and streaming applications.
- Preferred: 4+ years of NoSQL implementation experience with Mongo or Cassandra.
- Preferred: 4+ years of data warehousing experience with Redshift or Snowflake.
- Preferred: 4+ years of UNIX/Linux experience, including basic commands and shell scripting.
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience with Agile engineering practices.
- Experience leveraging interactive AI tooling beyond basic code completion is preferred.
Benefits
- Comprehensive health, financial, and other benefits supporting total well-being, with eligibility varying by employment and management status; annual salary ranges are $179,400–$204,700 in Wilmington, DE and $197,300–$225,100 in McLean, VA, and the role is eligible for performance-based incentive compensation.
