Responsibilities

  • Design, prototype, and validate automotive embedded software product solutions.
  • Maintain technical communication with engineering teams and systems integration regarding technical issues.
  • Participate in program core teams and present engineering deliverables.
  • Develop solutions that meet customer needs and comply with MISRA and other regulatory standards.
  • Maintain technical, process, design, program, and patent-support records.
  • Review products for Design for Excellence, including manufacturing, assembly, cost, testability, reliability, and ergonomics.

Requirements

  • Minimum five years of experience in an automotive embedded software product design role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Experience with automotive project launch cycles and automotive APQP terminology.
  • Strong knowledge of C programming, model-based design, architectural design, engineering calculations, and analysis.
  • Experience coding with LIN, CAN, and UDS diagnostics.
  • Knowledge of AUTOSAR software architecture and related tools.
  • Familiarity with automotive C coding rules, software build and release processes, integration, validation processes, and related tools.
  • Knowledge of ASPICE and ISO-26262 is an asset.
  • Excellent problem-solving and presentation skills.
