Responsibilities
- Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and investment professionals to build AI-based tools using structured and alternative data sources.
- Rapidly prototype innovative solutions using AI-assisted coding to accelerate the idea-to-MVP cycle.
- Develop Invesco’s generative AI platform through system prompts, agentic workflows, and LLM-integrated features.
- Build cloud-native microservices and micro-UI components integrated with AI orchestration layers.
- Create validations, evaluations, and guardrails for agent frameworks and custom business agents.
- Apply AI-first engineering principles to address architectural challenges in scaling agentic systems.
- Deliver measurable value each sprint while maintaining code quality through modern automation and testing.
Requirements
- Requires 0–2 years of experience and a professional or personal project portfolio demonstrating functional, creative web applications.
- Foundational proficiency in Python for AI/backend work and TypeScript/React for frontend development.
- Comfort using AI coding assistants and LLMs for debugging, documentation, and boilerplate code.
- Exposure to or strong interest in LangGraph, LangChain, and agentic design patterns.
- Familiarity with Docker, Git, and basic cloud concepts including AWS or Azure.
- Ability to learn proactively, experiment with emerging technologies, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
