Responsibilities
- Manage and configure Murex MX.3 and associated applications.
- Install, upgrade, and patch production and non-production environments.
- Design and maintain integrations with market-data systems, risk engines, reporting tools, UL Bridge, DCM, and other surrounding systems.
- Monitor application performance, batch processing, and data flows while ensuring stable overnight processing.
- Manage incidents, problems, and changes through troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and structural remediation.
- Automate operational tasks and deployments through scripting and suitable tools.
- Document architecture, configurations, and operational processes.
- Translate business and risk requirements into technical solutions.
- Support and coach team members and contribute to continuous improvement and delivery organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in computer science, engineering, or an equivalent field.
- Experience working in a complex IT environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, ownership, and incident-management skills.
- Good knowledge of Dutch or French and English.
- Strong Linux/Unix and shell-scripting skills.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases such as Oracle.
- Knowledge of Java and/or Python programming.
- Experience with integrations and APIs, including REST, SOAP, messaging, and MQ.
- Knowledge of batch processing and monitoring.
- Murex MX.3 or similar financial-platform experience is an important advantage.
- Knowledge of financial products, P&L, or risk concepts is an advantage.
- Scrum Master experience or the ambition to become one is a major advantage.
- Experience with Git, Jenkins, Ansible, Azure, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Grafana, Elastic, or Splunk is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum, ITIL, or SRE principles and experience in banking or capital markets are advantageous.
