Base Salary
$161k - $217k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead requirements, architecture, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for high-performance APIs between front-end and back-end services.
- Lead software development and integration activities in an Agile and DevSecOps environment.
- Develop critical features and own the full lifecycle from design through deployment.
- Build, architect, and consume APIs and backend services with emphasis on automation, testing, and security.
- Lead code reviews and enforce code quality, best practices, and established standards.
- Translate design mockups into functional user interfaces using modern front-end frameworks and technologies.
- Advocate for improvements to product quality, security, and performance.
- Mentor team members, provide leadership, and self-direct work in ambiguous environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, or equivalent qualification.
- At least 5 years of software development experience for space systems and ground segments involving command, control, mission planning, and data processing.
- At least 5 years of Python development experience.
- At least 3 years of JavaScript experience, such as Angular or jQuery.
- Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
- Preferred qualifications include a relevant Bachelor of Science degree with 9+ years of related experience, a bachelor’s degree with 13+ years of directly related experience, or 17+ years of relevant experience.
- Preferred experience includes TypeScript, progressive software-development leadership on government programs, intuitive interfaces with real-time 2D/3D geospatial visualization, and the full software development lifecycle.
- Preferred experience includes PostgreSQL, SQL/NoSQL database technologies, Java, FastAPI, and CI/CD pipeline automation.
- Candidates must satisfy Boeing’s Conflict of Interest assessment, complete a technical coding assessment, and meet U.S. export-control requirements.
