Base Salary

$157k - $235k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Translate complex Intelligence Community mission requirements into scalable application architectures with sponsors and technical teams.
  • Design, develop, and deploy secure front-end and back-end solutions in classified environments.
  • Build enterprise-grade applications for cross-IC integration, data visualization, workflow automation, analytics, and secure collaboration.
  • Develop and maintain APIs, database schemas, and backend services while ensuring performance, reliability, and security.
  • Improve software architecture, platforms, developer workflows, documentation, and engineering practices.
  • Implement scalable architectures aligned with DevSecOps and Infrastructure-as-Code principles.
  • Partner with UX, architecture, data, security, and operations teams to define technical strategy and influence roadmaps.
  • Present technical solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to department-wide technical standards and tradecraft.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, with advanced technical degrees preferred.
  • Typically requires 8 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, 6 years with a master’s degree, or 3 years with a PhD, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar engineer in secure environments.
  • Proficiency with front-end and back-end technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Go.
  • Proficiency writing SQL queries, performing data transformations, and designing database schemas.
  • Ability to work in Agile development environments with strong documentation practices.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph U.S. government-issued security clearance and U.S. citizenship eligibility for the clearance.
  • Preferred experience includes geospatial applications, ESRI, modern JavaScript frameworks, server-side rendering, single-page and hybrid applications, UI-first prototyping, CSS frameworks, PostgreSQL, Linux, Git, AWS-managed services, alternative JavaScript runtimes, and SecDevOps pipelines in classified environments.
