Base Salary
$197k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Develop robust cloud-based solutions in collaboration with digital product managers.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks with architects.
- Refactor systems, reduce technical debt, improve performance, and troubleshoot distributed cloud environments.
- Evaluate emerging tools and practices in a you-build-it-you-own-it environment.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to internal and external technology communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred: master's degree, 7+ years coding with multiple listed languages, and experience with databases, cloud platforms, open-source frameworks, frontend frameworks, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing, Git-based version control, cloud troubleshooting, AI coding tools, observability, mentoring, and large-scale technical initiatives.
- Preferred: experience establishing coding standards and design patterns across teams.
