Responsibilities
- Define and drive the long-term technical roadmap for the Lakehouse Platform.
- Architect and implement platform capabilities for secure and trustworthy analytical data.
- Design and operate secure data access capabilities across Snowflake and the lakehouse platform.
- Partner with Analytics Engineering to evolve data modeling and transformation pipelines.
- Establish best practices for lakehouse operations and incident response.
- Identify and execute improvements for analytical compute and storage performance.
- Collaborate with various teams to translate stakeholder needs into technical solutions.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in lakehouse architecture and data governance.
- Mentor engineers and foster an inclusive culture of design rigor and operational excellence.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering or data infrastructure.
- 2+ years of technical leadership experience.
- Proven experience with OLAP systems and lakehouse platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake or comparable analytical data warehouses.
- Strong understanding of data platform architecture and governance.
- Experience with dbt or similar transformation frameworks.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, or JVM-based languages.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
