Base Salary
$132k - $252k/yr
Responsibilities
- Participate on collaborative, cross-disciplinary integrated product teams using software development processes.
- Own the full product development lifecycle from architecture and design through integration, testing, and field support.
- Develop software using C++ for real-time and embedded systems.
- Work with RTOS environments, embedded programming, processor and board architecture, and custom hardware interfaces.
- Apply UML and object-oriented analysis and design practices.
- Communicate with other engineering disciplines, program teams, and external stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical or team leadership.
- Work within high-maturity software engineering processes.
Requirements
- Experience across multiple phases of the software development lifecycle.
- Prior technical or team leadership experience, such as Software Architect or Software Lead.
- Experience developing software using C++.
- Experience with real-time operating systems, embedded programming, and processor or board architecture and design.
- Working knowledge of Linux, VxWorks, or other real-time operating systems.
- Applied experience with UML and object-oriented analysis and design.
- Experience collaborating with other engineering disciplines, program teams, and external stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers.
- An active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance is required before the start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required because only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.
- A STEM degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience, or an advanced related degree and at least 7 years of experience.
- Preferred experience with system engineering artifacts such as Use Cases and SysML diagrams.
- Preferred experience with Agile lifecycle processes, Scrum, continuous integration, and test-driven development methodologies.
- Preferred experience with DevOps, Jenkins, automated testing, model-driven development, FPGA interfaces, memory-mapped interfaces, software/firmware messaging, microservice architectures, containerized applications, Versal ARM assembly, performance optimization, CORBA, and scripting languages such as Python.
