Responsibilities
- Define test coverage and scope based on acceptance criteria for robust automation and exploratory testing.
- Create test artefacts in line with the agreed test strategy and write automation scripts against user stories.
- Maintain test traceability and improve existing test suites with efficient, readable, and maintainable tests.
- Identify defects, collaborate with the squad to provide fixes, and help prevent defect leakage.
- Capture lessons learned and introduce innovative ways of improving quality and delivery.
- Validate and verify feature behavior against requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- 4–7 years of experience in quality engineering or a related technical role.
- Experience with object-oriented programming languages, including JavaScript, Java, and Visual Basic Script.
- Good knowledge of databases, ETL batches, and SQL programming.
- Test automation experience with an automation-first approach.
- DevOps and CI/CD expertise, including tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Harness, and UCD.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing requirements, learn new technologies, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Mainframe, COBOL, batch processing, and data storage experience are secondary skills.
