Responsibilities
- Partner with enterprise clients to define cloud strategy, roadmaps, and transformation initiatives.
- Translate business needs into scalable Azure architectures aligned with Microsoft best practices.
- Facilitate architecture workshops, design reviews, and executive-level discussions.
- Design secure, scalable, and resilient Azure platforms across IaaS, PaaS, and cloud-native services.
- Design Azure Landing Zones and enterprise-scale governance models covering security, compliance, RBAC, Policies, and Management Groups.
- Guide adoption of cloud-native patterns including microservices, containers, and serverless technologies.
- Lead cloud adoption journeys using the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework and assess solutions against the Well-Architected Framework.
- Drive DevOps adoption, Infrastructure as Code, automated pipelines, continuous integration, deployment, and governance.
- Establish monitoring, observability, and operational excellence practices.
- Lead and mentor cross-functional engineering teams and ensure end-to-end solution delivery quality.
- Develop reusable assets, accelerators, and best practices for cloud transformation programs.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure architecture and services.
- Proven experience with the Cloud Adoption Framework, Well-Architected Framework, Azure Landing Zones, and enterprise-scale architecture.
- Expertise in Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud automation.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and GitHub Actions.
- Strong knowledge of cloud-native design patterns and microservices architectures.
- Experience with hybrid cloud and migration programs.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, client-facing consulting, and architecture decision-making skills.
- Experience leading large-scale cloud transformation programs and influencing leadership.
- Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification (AZ-305) is preferred.
- Experience with AKS, containers, or serverless technologies is preferred.
- Exposure to data, AI, or analytics workloads on Azure is preferred.
- Australian citizenship is required, and candidates must be eligible to obtain security clearance; existing clearance is preferred but not mandatory.
