Base Salary
$131k - $218k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable software solutions across frontend and backend systems.
- Lead implementation of complex features and services within distributed, cloud-based architectures.
- Translate product and business requirements into technical designs and implementation plans.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Drive code quality, testing, observability, security, maintainability, and other engineering best practices.
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to engineers.
- Identify technical risks, develop mitigation strategies, and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Establish scalable platform patterns and improve development processes, tooling, and team practices.
- Evaluate and adopt development tools and practices that improve engineering efficiency and product quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of professional software engineering experience; the role also states that it typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong experience building and maintaining production-grade applications in collaborative team environments.
- At least 5 years of experience with modern frontend technologies such as React and TypeScript or similar frameworks.
- At least 5 years of experience developing backend services using C# and .NET technologies.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL services, distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architectures, and cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, relational databases such as PostgreSQL, automated testing strategies, and modern testing frameworks.
- Strong software design, debugging, problem-solving, communication, cross-team collaboration, and technical-influence skills.
- Preferred experience includes Kafka, Redis, highly available SaaS applications, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, GitHub, GitHub Actions, and AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code.
- Preferred experience includes defining requirements and acceptance criteria, participating in architecture and design reviews, cross-functional planning, and working in Agile product development teams.
