Responsibilities
- Deploy and maintain critical applications on cloud-native microservices architecture.
- Implement automation, monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code across environments.
- Deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines and support Jenkins alerts and workflow configuration.
- Support production deployments, post-development implementation activities, and application support.
- Participate in and drive crisis calls for production incidents.
- Improve system performance, deployment quality, and delivery velocity.
- Maintain knowledge-sharing processes and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Follow engineering standards and controls and perform unit testing and debugging.
Requirements
- Hands-on Unix/Linux administration experience.
- Expertise with GCP and practical experience administering GKE.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Practical experience with Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration.
- Hands-on experience administering and setting up Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, alerts, and workflows.
- Scripting experience with Bash or Python and a demonstrated interest in automating repetitive tasks.
- Experience with GKE backup and blue-green deployment strategies.
- Working knowledge of GCP services including GKE, GCE, Cloud Logging, Cloud Run Functions, Cloud Composer, Dataflow, VPC, NAT Gateways, subnets, BigQuery, and IAM.
- Knowledge of DevOps and Agile practices, Confluence, and JIRA.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, collaboration, unit testing, and debugging skills.
