Responsibilities
- Define and drive MLOps standards across CI/CD, containerisation, monitoring, alerting, testing, and deployment.
- Write high-quality, tested Python code for production pipelines and services serving billions of annual requests.
- Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of Data Science products and MLOps processes.
- Shape technical direction, architecture, engineering practices, deployment approaches, and technical decisions.
- Mentor and develop Data Engineers from graduate to senior levels.
- Design, build, and enhance scalable processes and workflows using cloud technologies.
- Champion Data Science and MLOps best practices across the business.
- Maintain data governance and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Collaborate with technical and business teams, architects, and external Microsoft Azure experts.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in Data, ML, or Platform Engineering with strong MLOps expertise.
- Strong programming experience in Python and SQL.
- Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
- Hands-on experience using Azure, AWS, or GCP to design and build ML products, pipelines, and platforms.
- Understanding of the software development life cycle, DevOps, MLOps, continuous integration, testing, and deployment of data and model pipelines.
- Ability to work hands-on while thinking strategically and designing simple solutions to complex business problems.
- Ability to build relationships with technical and business stakeholders and explain complex technical subjects to non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with data protection, consumer duty, and other relevant legislation.
- Desirable: experience or knowledge of responsible Artificial Intelligence usage.
