Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Build robust cloud-based solutions using Java, Python, and other modern programming languages and platforms.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams by setting standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
- Identify opportunities for refactoring, technical-debt reduction, and performance improvement.
- Evaluate emerging tools and practices and influence long-term technology strategy in a you-build-it-you-own-it environment.
- Mentor engineers, support professional development, and lead cross-functional engineering efforts.
- Establish and enforce coding standards and design patterns across teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred: master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Preferred: 7+ years coding with Java or Python and 3+ years with databases or database management systems.
- Preferred: 3+ years with AWS, GCP, Azure, or related cloud, productivity, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred: experience with open-source frameworks, front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, synchronous and asynchronous APIs, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing frameworks, and Git-based version control.
- Preferred: experience troubleshooting cloud environments, using AI-based coding tools and interactive AI tooling, mentoring engineers, applying observability to distributed systems, and leading large-scale technical initiatives.
