Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the technical SAP solution, ensuring alignment with other modules and surrounding IS applications.
- Translate business and functional requirements into functional and technical specifications and communicate them to developers.
- Validate and prioritize business demand with project owners, business stakeholders, analysts, service managers, application managers, and domain architects.
- Support unit testing, UAT, defect resolution, and management of transport requests through production release.
- Define technical rules, principles, guidelines, and non-functional requirements for SAP solutions.
- Support the installation, maintenance, management, optimization, and operation of SAP processes and services.
- Maintain solution documentation and training materials.
- Guide IS project and delivery teams in applying SAP and IS solution standards.
- Lead and coordinate onsite and offshore functional and ABAP teams and provide expert guidance to temporary work teams.
- Support global SAP projects, including business-division carve-outs and transitions between SAP landscapes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of experience in the information technology industry, including 8 or more years in solution architecture.
- At least 5 years of solution architecture experience on global projects in the relevant domain.
- At least 3 years of team-lead experience coordinating onsite and offshore functional and ABAP teams of up to 20 people.
- Practical implementation experience with BizTalk and/or MuleSoft.
- Certification in S/4HANA and/or other SAP solutions.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP ABAP programming and debugging, One-Order Framework, BSP/UI configurations, OData, APIs, BADIs, CRMV_EVENT, pricing routines, and IDocs.
- Familiarity with Scrum, Kanban, and agile project delivery.
- Experience implementing SAP best practices, particularly for business-division carve-outs and SAP landscape transitions.
- Ability to translate business requirements into IT solutions, lead virtual teams, make timely decisions, foster innovation, and communicate effectively with business and IT stakeholders.
- International experience working across different countries and cultures and proficiency in spoken and written English.
