Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for production support and manage technical support tickets across business units.
- Triage and prioritize tickets based on urgency and business impact.
- Troubleshoot complex application, database, data pipeline, and production environment issues.
- Perform root-cause analysis and implement long-term solutions and automation for recurring problems.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and workflows using Snowflake and Oracle.
- Write and optimize advanced SQL and PL/SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Monitor system performance, database health, query performance, resource utilization, and potential production issues.
- Automate data ingestion, validation, and monitoring tasks using Python and orchestration tools.
- Collaborate with business users, analysts, developers, DevOps teams, and Major Incident Management.
- Document operational procedures, resolutions, runbooks, recurring issues, and system architecture.
- Implement process improvements that reduce ticket volume and manual intervention.
- Apply security, scalability, and performance best practices, including database access controls and data protection measures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience troubleshooting enterprise web applications, including configuration issues.
- At least 4 years of experience with advanced SQL and PL/SQL queries and stored procedures.
- At least 4 years of experience developing, maintaining, and optimizing Snowflake and Oracle data pipelines and workflows.
- At least 4 years of experience with Snowflake warehouse monitoring, table locks, and load history.
- At least 3 years of experience automating data ingestion, validation, and monitoring with Python and Apache Airflow or Prefect.
- At least 3 years of experience monitoring database health, query performance, and resource utilization with Snowflake Resource Monitors, Oracle Enterprise Manager, and cloud monitoring tools.
- At least 3 years of experience resolving production incidents involving data inconsistencies, pipeline failures, or performance degradation.
- At least 2 years of experience implementing role-based access control, data masking, and encryption in Snowflake and Oracle.
- At least 2 years of experience integrating database changes into CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
- At least 4 years of experience performing root-cause analysis and implementing automation to reduce manual intervention.
- At least 1 year of experience managing cloud resource costs through Snowflake warehouse and Oracle instance tuning.
- At least 4 years of experience documenting operational procedures, runbooks, and system architecture.
- At least 3 years of experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Splunk, AppDynamics, or Dynatrace; networking and security principles; complex business process analysis and documentation; and Agile/Lean methodologies.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
