Responsibilities
- Build and maintain web applications, APIs, and backend services for Baba’s patient advocacy platform.
- Develop automated QA and monitoring systems to audit patient outcomes and advocate performance at scale.
- Create internal tools and dashboards that streamline clinical workflows and replace manual processes.
- Architect data models and pipelines for Baba’s marketplace of advocates, providers, and patients.
- Own the end-to-end development lifecycle for new platform capabilities and system integrations.
- Collaborate with the founder and clinical team to convert operational bottlenecks into shipped products.
- Support voice AI infrastructure and core systems serving thousands to millions of patients.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional engineering experience in relevant roles, excluding internships.
- Proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Python, Go, Rust, or TypeScript, along with distributed systems concepts.
- Experience owning web application features end-to-end, from database schema through user interface.
- Strong understanding of reliability, safety, and performance in production environments.
- Ability to navigate loosely defined tasks and manage competing priorities in fast-growing, product-driven companies.
- Interest in AI/ML; direct experience is not required.
- Experience as a former founder or early startup engineer who built a product from scratch is a bonus.
