Responsibilities
- Build and maintain web applications, APIs, and backend services for Baba’s patient advocacy platform.
- Design and implement automated QA and monitoring systems to audit patient outcomes and advocate performance at scale.
- Develop internal tools and dashboards that streamline clinical workflows and replace manual processes.
- Architect data models and pipelines supporting advocates, providers, and patients.
- Own end-to-end development of platform capabilities and integrations with other systems.
- Collaborate directly with the founder and clinical team to translate operational bottlenecks into shipped products.
- Debug production issues and support operational needs, including patient support tickets, when necessary.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional engineering experience in relevant roles, excluding internships.
- Experience building and shipping web applications and owning features end-to-end from database schema through UI.
- Proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Python, Go, Rust, or TypeScript, along with distributed systems concepts.
- Strong understanding of production reliability, safety, and performance.
- Interest in AI/ML; direct experience is not required.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-growing, product-driven companies with loosely defined tasks and competing priorities.
- Bonus: experience as a founder or early startup engineer who built a product from scratch.
