Responsibilities
- Set technical standards, guide architecture, and shape engineering practices aligned with company objectives.
- Design and develop high-quality, secure, scalable, enterprise-grade systems with a hands-on approach.
- Lead initiatives that accelerate feature development, improve engineering productivity, and remove delivery bottlenecks.
- Own code quality through audits, maintainability improvements, and enforcement of engineering best practices.
- Integrate security throughout the software development lifecycle and proactively address vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with product, sales, operations, the CTO, and engineering leadership on technical strategy and decisions.
- Mentor engineers, including senior engineers, and promote technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Evaluate emerging tools, platforms, and techniques and lead proof-of-concept projects.
Requirements
- 15+ years of professional software development experience building scalable, enterprise-grade SaaS applications.
- Organizational-level experience leading technical strategy and vision, including hands-on design of secure, scalable multi-tenant systems.
- Experience with data isolation, tenant-specific configurations, thousands of concurrent users, real-time or low-latency applications, and privacy or residency standards such as GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA.
- Track record of making end-to-end architectural decisions in globally distributed SaaS or multi-product environments while balancing business value, performance, reliability, and cost.
- Strong collaboration, consensus-building, stakeholder alignment, and feedback-integration skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Python, Go, or Ruby and experience with Django, Gin, or Rails.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or MongoDB and understanding of scalability, performance, and reliability trade-offs.
- Familiarity with React, Ember.js, or Vue.js and advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Expertise with AWS, GCP, or Azure and cloud-native architecture.
- Pragmatic approach to technical decisions focused on business value and effective trade-offs.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring senior engineers and providing constructive feedback.
