Base Salary
$185k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own complex, cross-system software solutions from architecture through production and ongoing support.
- Design and ship production AI and agentic solutions involving LLM-based automation, retrieval, and workflow orchestration.
- Set technical standards for architecture, code quality, testing, CI/CD, and documentation.
- Partner with functional and product owners to translate business problems into durable software solutions.
- Ensure software meets data integrity, enterprise architecture, security, privacy, and regulatory standards.
- Work hands-on across the full stack while providing architecture, deep technical problem-solving, and stakeholder translation.
- Help establish the engineering function’s practices, architecture, and standards from the ground up.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- At least 7 years of experience building and shipping production software and owning complex systems end to end.
- Deep hands-on experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, Next.js, Python, or similar technologies, plus SQL.
- Experience designing and integrating disparate systems and APIs.
- Hands-on experience deploying applications on cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, Azure, and AWS.
- Production experience building AI or agentic solutions involving LLM integration, retrieval, orchestration, or automation.
- Experience using LLM APIs including OpenAI, Google Gemini, and Anthropic, with prompt design, tool/function calling, and cost, latency, and reliability management.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor and Claude Code.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals including version control, CI/CD, testing, and secure development practices.
- Ability to operate in complex, matrixed, and governed environments and communicate technical direction with practical execution plans.
- Comfort with ambiguity, adaptability, automation-focused problem solving, and ground-up environments.
- PE-backed or professional services experience is preferred.
