$200k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise capabilities that help organizations adopt and scale CodeRabbit.
- Improve deployment, configuration, upgrades, and observability for self-hosted customer environments.
- Build backend services, APIs, and distributed systems for demanding enterprise workloads.
- Develop security controls and compliance-related capabilities for enterprise requirements.
- Build and maintain integrations with customers’ developer tools and internal systems.
- Translate customer needs into technical requirements, support deployments, and troubleshoot production issues.
- Own projects through design, implementation, testing, release, and ongoing operation.
- Contribute to design and code reviews, mentor engineers, and improve team practices and tooling.
Requirements
- 4+ years of software engineering experience building and operating backend systems or distributed infrastructure in production.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, Go, Java, or a comparable modern backend stack.
- Experience designing and maintaining APIs using REST, GraphQL, or similar approaches.
- Experience with microservices, asynchronous job processing, and event-driven architectures.
- Working knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, including schema design and query performance.
- Experience with AWS or GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and production observability.
- Strong fundamentals in testing, code reviews, version control, debugging, and maintainable system design.
- Ability to balance security, reliability, performance, developer experience, and delivery speed.
- Clear communication and collaboration skills with customers and technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred experience includes self-hosted or customer-managed enterprise software, identity and access controls, audit logging, compliance requirements, AI or LLM integrations, code search, code graphs, tree-sitter, static analysis, agent-based systems, open-source contributions, or developer communities.
