Responsibilities
- Lead and grow development teams working on Prisma Cloud and Cortex Cloud.
- Develop backend features and components across the full lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with geographically distributed teams and cross-functional disciplines to shape solutions and integrate product components.
- Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and technical and architectural decisions.
- Provide real-time mitigation and solutions for production issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent, plus 10+ years of software engineering experience including scalable server-side application development.
- Extensive hands-on programming experience with Go, Java, and/or Python.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, including lock-free data structures, bloom filters, minimal perfect hashing, and consistent hashing.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Experience with microservices technologies and architectures, including Kubernetes, GKE, EKS, AKS, Docker, and serverless systems.
- Experience with big-data architectures using technologies such as Kafka, Splunk, or Flink.
- Experience with distributed computing and/or distributed databases and key-value stores, including concepts such as the CAP theorem, master election, and split-brain problems.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Preferred: experience in agile environments, CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, information security, or software security.
