Responsibilities
- Lead software solution development and deployment from design through production.
- Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional teams to refine requirements and implement integrated product functionality.
- Engage clients and internal teams to architect solutions and enhance product capabilities.
- Establish and maintain enterprise-grade APIs across services for interoperability and scalability.
- Build backend applications in Python using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, SMS, ECS, and other cloud technologies.
- Implement serverless, cloud-native backend code using Flask, AWS Lambda, and ECS.
- Design scalable systems for high-volume transactions with strong reliability and robustness.
- Apply security best practices throughout development and deployment.
- Conduct code reviews and maintain software quality standards.
- Provide technical leadership, make architectural decisions, manage work independently, and drive projects to completion.
- Represent software products to stakeholders and provide technical insights and solutions.
Requirements
- 7+ years of related job experience with broad technical skills.
- Strong experience with Python, Flask, SQLAlchemy, TypeScript, and React.
- Advanced PostgreSQL knowledge, including common table expressions, windowing functions, views, stored procedures, and indexing techniques.
- Experience with microservices, API-based applications, distributed caching, cloud deployment, infrastructure as code, and security-focused development.
- Proficiency with Linux, Bash, Zsh, Python, Node.js, and similar tools.
- Experience with Git code management, preferably in a monorepository.
- Knowledge of unit testing and integration testing with frameworks such as Playwright.
- Ability to improve system scalability and observability and to solve complex technical problems.
- Technical lead experience gathering functional and non-functional requirements, or strong technical product management experience, is a plus.
- Previous Pharmacy Benefits Manager experience is a plus.
