Responsibilities
- Develop, design, construct, test, implement, and support applications across mobile, web, services, middleware, mainframe, and non-mainframe platforms.
- Translate technology stacks and application designs into code and deliver small-scale features or supporting components of larger programs.
- Perform applications systems analysis and programming, including feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, and implementation of new or revised systems.
- Learn and evaluate system functionality, architecture, dependencies, runtime operations, business requirements, customer use cases, and maintenance needs.
- Participate in solution discussions, system build and performance discussions, technical documentation, and representation of team systems to internal and external stakeholders.
- Build and maintain integrated project development schedules while accounting for dependencies, constraints, different SDLC approaches, and contingencies.
- Negotiate features and priorities, help teams and customers reach consensus, and communicate technical and timeline dependencies clearly.
- Improve development processes, productivity measurement, code quality, performance, unit testing, and build processing through CI/CD automation.
- Assess and manage technology and business risks, maintain compliance with applicable laws and policies, and escalate control issues transparently.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in an application development role.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Experience running high-traffic, distributed, cloud-based services.
- Experience affecting large-scale culture change and leading infrastructure programs.
- Ability to work with third-party service providers.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, written, and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated execution capabilities with a data-driven and results-oriented approach.
- Knowledge of application development concepts and principles, system design, architecture, runtime operations, and application support.
