Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality Android applications and reusable components for multiple digital brands.
- Design and build a unified, scalable streaming video player platform with consistent playback across supported devices.
- Define modern Android architectures, coding standards, technical decisions, and platform evolution.
- Improve application performance, startup times, maintainability, scalability, accessibility, and user experience.
- Support advertising, monetization, video analytics, and OTT playback capabilities.
- Write efficient software, analyze integration needs, plan system architecture, and troubleshoot application issues.
- Implement unit and integration testing frameworks and collaborate with Quality Assurance to validate applications.
- Document software design, deployment procedures, and development processes.
- Work independently on significant technical matters and maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or some combination of coursework and experience or extensive related professional experience.
- 2–5 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong frontend development focus and proven experience building video streaming and OTT applications.
- Experience developing Android applications with Kotlin, Android SDK, Android Jetpack, Coroutines, Flow, and Compose.
- Understanding of streaming technologies, advertising platforms, video analytics, and modern engineering practices.
- Ability to work a variable schedule, including nights and weekends as necessary.
