Base Salary
$175k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain DRW’s globally deployed low-latency trading platform.
- Work across order routing, market data, and risk systems.
- Develop high-availability C++ systems with tight resource and latency constraints.
- Apply multithreaded programming and hardware/software interaction knowledge.
- Tune application and Linux performance, optimize socket I/O, and troubleshoot systems.
- Collaborate with Research teams and Quants when applicable.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience developing high-availability systems in C++ under tight resource and latency constraints.
- Background in multithreaded programming and a strong understanding of hardware/software interaction.
- Strong performance-tuning and troubleshooting skills across applications, Linux, and socket I/O.
- Experience with C++ libraries including STL and Boost.
- Up-to-date knowledge of C++23 standards.
- Experience with challenging projects such as building a custom compiler, writing a matching engine, or processing large amounts of real-time data.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Preferred experience in trading or another ultra-low-latency business, with Research teams and Quants, or in gaming or streaming.
