Responsibilities
- Install, configure, deploy, maintain, monitor, upgrade, and administer data platform components in on-premises environments.
- Support data platform components running on VMware-based infrastructure across Development, QA, and Production.
- Integrate platform configurations and deployment processes with Git-based version control.
- Integrate data platforms with enterprise security solutions including IAM and PAM.
- Monitor platform availability, performance, capacity, resource utilization, and overall health.
- Troubleshoot platform, infrastructure, deployment, configuration, storage, network, and integration issues.
- Support containerized platform components using Docker and/or Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering, Infrastructure, DevOps, Security, Network, and Application teams.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in Data Platform Engineering, infrastructure, or Platform Administration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Hands-on experience installing and configuring data platform components in on-premises environments.
- Strong experience with Platform Administration and VMware-based infrastructure.
- Experience integrating platforms and deployment or configuration processes with Git.
- Experience with enterprise security integrations involving IAM and PAM.
- Knowledge of platform deployment, configuration, maintenance, upgrades, monitoring, troubleshooting, infrastructure, networking, storage, backup/recovery, and security concepts.
- Experience supporting Development, QA, and Production environments.
- Exposure to Docker and/or Kubernetes for containerized platform deployments.
- Experience with MinIO, Apache Iceberg, Starburst, Dremio, Apache Spark, or Informatica is good to have.
- Understanding of modern Data Lake and Data Lakehouse architectures is good to have.
