Responsibilities

  • Research and develop DSP, spectrum analysis, filtering, estimation, and detection algorithms across the sensor-processing pipeline.
  • Develop camera, image-processing, and computer-vision algorithms for detection, classification, segmentation, tracking, depth, and 3D/4D point-cloud processing.
  • Design, train, evaluate, and prepare machine-learning and AI models for sensor processing and multi-sensor fusion.
  • Combine classical signal processing with learned components and fuse information across sensing modalities.
  • Prototype, model, and validate algorithms in Python and C, using large simulated and real-world sensor datasets.
  • Define KPIs and build validation infrastructure to measure algorithm performance across releases and identify failure modes.
  • Work with embedded and silicon teams to map algorithms efficiently onto target compute platforms.
  • Support bring-up and debugging across algorithm, firmware, and hardware boundaries.
  • Partner with hardware, firmware, and systems teams on requirements, architecture, and performance trade-offs.
  • Document algorithm design, assumptions, and validation results for internal and customer use.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in algorithm development and data analysis for robotics, physical AI, IoT, or multimodal sensor applications.
  • At least 5 years of experience in signal processing, including spectrum analysis, filter design, estimation and detection theory, and optimization.
  • Hands-on experience developing computer-vision algorithms and applying machine learning to sensor data, including clustering, tracking, classification, segmentation, and 3D/4D point-cloud processing.
  • Experience training and evaluating neural networks, including dataset curation and performance analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience taking signal-processing, computer-vision, or machine-learning algorithms from research through to a working product.
  • Proficiency in Python and working knowledge of C or C++.
  • Strong data-analysis, performance-validation, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in parallel and make consistent progress with limited supervision.
  • Preferred: PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Preferred: experience with radar or LiDAR sensor processing, image signal processing pipelines, stereo and multi-camera processing, and customer integration or bring-up in robotics or industrial programs.
  • Preferred: familiarity with PyTorch or TensorFlow, model optimization including quantization and pruning, embedded compute constraints, GPU or parallel programming, and DSP cores, hardware accelerators, or fixed-point arithmetic.
