Responsibilities
- Advise clients on IT strategies, architecture solutions, technology decisions, and transformation initiatives.
- Analyze complex IT application landscapes and optimize existing IT architectures.
- Develop architectural roadmaps, business cases, and recommendations for client buy-in.
- Review vendor proposals and in-flight technical work.
- Lead legacy integration and remediation using approaches such as facades and strangler approaches.
- Advise internal colleagues and fellow architects on technical concepts, frameworks, and areas of specialization.
- Manage IT project activities and quality assurance while optimizing application development processes.
- Develop technical community networks, demonstrate intellectual leadership, and take on team lead responsibilities.
Requirements
- 10–15 years of experience in software development, technical project management, digital delivery, or technology consulting.
- Consulting experience is required.
- University degree with above-average academic performance in a mathematical-scientific field, information technology, or business administration.
- Experience guiding decisions involving IaaS/PaaS providers, container orchestration, service mesh, API gateways, and commercial versus open-source software.
- Deep understanding of integration patterns and practices, including event-based and synchronous versus asynchronous integration.
- Understanding of DevOps practices, continuous improvement, development methods, and tools.
- Fluency in English and Italian.
- Strategic, self-managed, pragmatic, and capable of providing technical leadership and thought leadership.
