Base Salary
$149k - $218k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the long-term technical strategy for high-throughput ingestion pipelines.
- Lead the design, implementation, deployment, and scaling of mission-critical distributed systems and data-processing pipelines.
- Improve platform performance, elasticity, scalability, reliability, and operational excellence.
- Partner with product and platform leadership to align engineering initiatives with business requirements.
- Establish standards for system design and code quality, adopt emerging technologies, and mentor senior engineers.
- Lead complex, multi-year engineering roadmaps and communicate architectural trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field.
- 7+ years of professional backend software development experience focused on large-scale distributed systems.
- Expert-level proficiency in Go or Java, including practical understanding of concurrency models and memory management.
- Experience architecting, deploying, and scaling high-volume data-processing pipelines.
- Experience with cloud-native infrastructure, Kubernetes, microservices architecture, and distributed storage systems.
- Ability to influence technical strategy, align stakeholders, lead complex roadmaps, mentor engineers, and communicate complex architecture effectively.
