Base Salary
$149k - $218k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the technical strategy for high-throughput ingestion pipelines.
- Design, implement, deploy, and scale mission-critical distributed systems and high-volume data processing pipelines.
- Improve platform performance, elasticity, scalability, reliability, and operational excellence.
- Partner with product and platform leadership to align engineering initiatives with business requirements.
- Establish standards for system design, code quality, and engineering excellence.
- Lead complex engineering roadmaps and mentor senior engineers.
- Communicate architectural concepts and trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies for large-scale data challenges.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 7+ years of professional backend software development experience focused on large-scale distributed systems.
- Expert-level proficiency in Go or Java, including practical knowledge of concurrency models and memory management.
- Experience architecting, deploying, and scaling high-volume data processing pipelines.
- Experience with cloud-native infrastructure, Kubernetes, microservices architecture, and distributed storage systems.
- Ability to influence technical strategy and align stakeholders across teams and organizational levels.
- Experience leading complex, multi-year engineering roadmaps from conception through production.
- Experience mentoring senior engineers and fostering technical excellence.
- Strong communication skills for explaining complex architecture and trade-offs.
- Passion for innovation and current distributed systems and data platform technologies.
