Base Salary
$207k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive early-stage ideation, rapid prototyping, and evaluation of AI-powered learning experiences through live experiments and user studies.
- Build advanced tools for students and teachers informed by learning science and pedagogical principles.
- Lead collaborations across Google product surfaces and product areas to scale validated educational concepts.
- Influence technical and product direction from zero-to-one concept development through iterative experimentation.
- Scope, design, and build agentic features across frameworks and infrastructure.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of programming experience in Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, C++, Java, Kotlin, or Go.
- At least 5 years of experience testing and launching software products.
- At least 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- Experience integrating generative AI tools or LLM interfaces, including prompt engineering, agent development, evaluation suites, or synthetic data generation.
- Preferred experience in learning and education, cognitive science, psychometry, or learning analytics.
- Preferred experience with rapid prototyping technology stacks, cloud-native development, or Vercel.
- Preferred multimodal experience with audio or video.
- Preferred experience building methodical LLM evaluation suites in zero-to-one startup or experimental lab environments.
- Preferred interdisciplinary background combining Computer Science with Education, Cognitive Science, Learning Sciences, or Business.
