Responsibilities
- Lead development of advanced automated testing frameworks, tools, and test libraries for vehicle electronic control units.
- Design and implement foundational software components used in automation testing.
- Analyze and decompose complex software systems and collaborate cross-functionally to improve design for testability.
- Drive best practices in code health, testing, maintainability, test coverage, reliability, and delivery speed.
- Participate in code reviews and coach team members on automation practices and test script development.
- Evaluate, prototype, and integrate new automation technologies, tools, and CI/CD capabilities.
- Provide hands-on technical partnership to the automation architect and fellow developers while mentoring internal and external team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- 8+ years of software development experience.
- 5+ years of automation and tool development experience.
- 5+ years of self-driven leadership and mentorship of engineering team members.
- 3+ years of building, integrating, and deploying software within large-scale, complex systems.
- 3+ years of building and configuring Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipelines.
- Preferred experience with Linux, QNX, Android, POSIX, Windows, automotive ECU testing, CAN, DoCAN, DoIP, AUTOSAR, Intrepid products, Vector products, data analytics, and data visualization.
- Strong analytical, creative problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
