Responsibilities
- Drive backend architectural decisions for the core platform backbone.
- Lead third-party vendor API orchestration and integration.
- Design synchronous and asynchronous event-driven API structures with regulatory adherence.
- Develop, maintain, and deploy quality code.
- Collaborate with distributed engineering and product teams across multiple countries.
- Develop product features, participate in workshops, and communicate technical work.
- Own workstreams, track progress, and communicate outcomes to the Technology Manager.
- Improve processes, designs, and engineering practices.
- Support changes through production and verify that they continue to work effectively.
Requirements
- Strong coding fundamentals in Java and Kotlin.
- Advanced database modeling and migration experience.
- Experience with event-driven architecture.
- Experience delivering high-quality software using established best practices and maintaining quality throughout the software lifecycle.
- Experience working in an Agile environment, including Scrum or Kanban.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate on complex problems.
- Critical thinking, communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in distributed cross-functional teams.
- Ability to influence customers and team members at the project level.
- Confident Intermediate English or higher.
